Jimmy Chae
Managing Partner
Jimmy Chae is Managing Partner and Founder of BRM Advisors. Jimmy brings to the company more than 15 years of experience in the commercial and business lending. He started his career in the business banking division at Washington Mutual Bank where he managed a portfolio of business banking clients. He then worked at a few other big center banks and entered the commercial business banking segment where he successfully managed a lending portfolio of $35 million in credit facilities and brought in over $150 million new dollars to the banks. His experience and relationships in the banking sector was a natural segue into the business advisory & commercial investment lending world and the eventual formation of BRM Advisors.
Jimmy and his team have steadily grown BRM's lending platform by developing a range of creative capital solutions that have enabled their borrowers and partners to quickly and efficiently finance their business activities.
Jannie Chung, Esq.
Managing Partner / General Counsel
Jannie is the General Counsel of BRM Advisors. As General Counsel she is involved in all of the firm's legal diligence, legal structuring of transactions and small business consulting. In addition, she is a member of the firm's investment committee. Mrs. Chung also serves as Councilwoman in Closter, NJ. She currently sits on the Public Safety Committee, Human Resources Committee, Zoning Board, Board of Health and is the Chair of the Public Works Committee.
Prior to joining BRM Advisors, One of Jannie’s greatest distinctions comes from being the only member of her law school graduating class to start a frozen yogurt business. Being legally trained and having the practical skills of entrepreneurship have proven to be useful in the art of conflict resolution, diplomacy and problem solving.
Jannie’s personal passions can be easily identified through the volunteer work she has done. She has assisted at free immigration clinics organized by the Minkwon Center, participated in the Volunteer Lawyer for a Day program with the NYC Civil Courts in the consumer credit part and housing court and has also been a SCORE counselor in Bergen County. She graduated summa cum laude from John Jay College and received her JD in 2007 from Brooklyn Law.
Jasmine Park
Business Development Advisor
Jasmine is a Business Development Advisor at Business Resource Marketplace, LLC. (BRM Advisors) She has experience in commercial and residential lending, having originated in excess of $100 million over the past few years. Jasmine's loan origination is diverse: traditional and non-traditional real-estate (senior and mezz), specialty finance (consumer and business lending), and merchant cash advance. Prior to joining BRM Advisors, Jasmine spent her career in commercial and residential mortgage banks.
David Hwang
Credit Analyst / Loan Processor
Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, David is Credit Analyst at Business Resource Marketplace, LLC. (BRM Advisors) David joined BRM Advisors in 2016. Prior to joining BRM Advisors. David spent his career in fleet car sales for Nissan.
He is now responsible for closing transactions, assisting with research, due diligence and reporting, preparing investment and presentation packages as well as providing administrative support to all BRM Advisors. David is also the on-staff translator for Spanish and Portuguese clients.
Sam Choi
Credit Analyst / Loan Processor
Born and raised in Seoul, Korea, Sam is Credit Analyst at Business Resource Marketplace, LLC. (BRM Advisors) Sam is the youngest team member. Sam was an intern at BRM Advisors before joining as an analyst in 2016.
He is now responsible for closing transactions, assisting with research, due diligence and reporting, preparing investment and presentation packages as well as providing administrative support to all BRM Advisors. Sam holds a B.A. in economics from The City University of New York (CUNY) - Baruch College
